Yeah, well me too. Don’t take this wrong, but if I had the ability to create fame and fortune, I would make myself rich and famous. Actually, I would just settle for the fortune, I suspect fame is damned inconvenience. The paparazzi chasing you around all the time, super models stalking you and everybody wanting to be your friend and give you things. I would rather just have the money.

You might be able to gather your fifteen minutes of fame in the deer hunting world by winning this contest. I am working on a book about venison and I need your favorite venison recipe. We will test the recipes with an impartial panel consisting of my wife, daughter, son, future son in law and a trio of dogs. We might also draft the opinions of anybody who stops by Camp Towsley at dinner time and maybe a neighbor or two. I am not sure how many recipes we will pick, but it will be more than one and less than a hundred. It depends on how many outstanding submissions we receive.

What you will win is a little bit of fame and very little fortune. We will publish the recipe in the new book with your name and, if you wish, your home town. If you have a web site we will be happy to include that.
You will be in the company of some of the biggest names in the hunting world. There will be recipes from famous writers and from some of the top people in the hunting and firearms industry. Also, there will be recipes from some of the top deer hunting lodges in the country.
